There are two major lines of research in the Taylor Lab. One line involves the study of biological, psychological, cognitive, and environmental factors related to substance use disorders and/or personality disorders. The other line of research involves the study of genetic and environmental influences on personality disorders. We have completed the initial twin study that helped establish the Florida State Twin Registry, a database of twins in Florida. Current graduate students in the Taylor Lab are pursuing projects related to psychopathy, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Histrionic Personality Disorder.
