Biographical Sketch
Dan graduated from Providence College with a B.A in Political Science. Following graduation, he spent two years as a research assistant at the Anxiety Disorders Research Program at the State University of New York at Albany. There he worked on multiple studies, including the development of a novel behavioral measure for experiential avoidance and a study on interoceptive fear learning in panic disorder. He is currently a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at Florida State University. Dan's primary research interests are the etiology, maintenance and treatment of anxiety disorders, the relationship between risk factors for anxiety and substance abuse, and the role of anxiety sensitivity sub-factors in suicidal behavior.
