Welcome!  This website contains participant information for our studies of how molecular genetic factors interact with social and psychological factors to influence human behavior and emotion.  The methods for our research are non-invasive, and involve diagnostic questionnaires and interviews with clinicians and the collection of cheek cells (by brushing the inside of the mouth with a cotton swab) to obtain a small sample of DNA.

Currently, we are interested in how different gene forms that influence neurotransmitter function in the brain contribute to psychopathology (e.g., obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, suicidality).
