October 2001: Chris Lonigan (Co-PI) along with Dr. JoAnn Farver (Co-PI, University of Southern California) were awarded a five-year grant (10/2001 - 09/2006) of $5.8 million from the National Science Foundation (Interagency Educational Research Initiative) to invesitgate "Enhancing Preschoolers Pre-literacy Skills."
August 2001: Jeanine Clancy-Menchetti, MA joins the lab as a project coordinator for the Preschool Prevention project.
August 2001: Tony Richey has joined our lab as a first year graduate student in clinical psychology.

October 1999: Jason Anthony was awarded an American Psychological Foundation's Graduate Research Scholarship in Psychology. This award represents one of only 10 scholarships that were awarded from this year's national competition. Congratulations to Jason!
August 1999: Kimberly Bacon, Kelly Cukrowicz, Becky Gerhardstein, Colleen McClain, and Brad White have joined our lab as first year graduate students in clinical psychology (some even stayed).

May 1999: Chris Lonigan was a receipient of one of this years Teaching Incentive Program (TIP) awards at Florida State University.

March 1999: Chris Longian (Co-PI) along with Dr. Joe Torgesen (PI) and Dr. Rick Wagner (Co-PI) were awarded a five-year grant (2/1999 - 1/2004) of $3.8 million to investigate the "Prevention and Remediation of Reading Disabilities." Our lab's role will focus on the evaluation of a preschool intervention to prevent reading disabilities in at-risk children.

January 1999: Chris Lonigan was awarded a two-year grant from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development to study computerized interventions for phonological sensitivity with preschool children.
December 1998: Chris Lonigan was appointed to the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Child Psychology.
November 1998: Chris Lonigan was appointed to the editorial board of the Journal of Traumatic Stress.
November 1998: Chris Lonigan was awarded a one-year CRC planning grant from Florida State University to investigate temperamental and attentional processes in childhood psychopathology.
September 1998: Chris Lonigan (Principal Investigator), along with Howard Goldstein (Co-Investigator, FSU Department of Communication Disorders) was awarded a 5-year grant to study the development and promotion of emergent literacy skills in children attending Head Start.
August 1998: Chris Lonigan was re-elected to serve as Member-at-Large to the Executive Committee of the Section on Clinical Child Psychology's (Division 12, American Psychological Association).
August 1998: Jason Anthony was co-winner of the Section on Clinical Child Psychology's (Division 12, American Psychological Association) Student Research Award. He received the award at the Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association in San Francisco and gave a brief presentation of his research paper.
May 1998: Chris Lonigan (Co-Investigator), along with Howard Goldstein, Ph.D. (Principal Investigator; FSU Department of Communication Disorders), and others were awarded a four-year Leadership Personnel Preparation grant from the U.S. Department of Education for students interested in Multidisciplinary Training in Developmental Disabilities.
