Toward the achievement of the academic mission and the goals of psychology, the Kelley Memory lab investigates human memory using behavioral methods of cognitive psychology to gather, analyze, and apply knowledge of the human information processing system. Areas of current or keen interest include the factors that create the subjective experience of memory, illusions of memory, meta-cognition, eye-witness memory, mechanisms of retrieval inhibition, judgment and decision making, memory retrieval processes, processing fluency, skilled memory, and global memory models. KML is directed by Dr. Colleen M. Kelley, Ph.D., and is part of the Department of Psychology at the Florida State University.
