1.) We ask that poster be in 48 hrs prior to pick up time. This
is required to allow for scheduling, and minor printing problems. During
peak conference season 72hrs may be necessary.
2.) The posters will be printed in the order that they are received.
3.) If your poster has a printing problem it will be taken out of line
and worked on as time permits. It will receive priority status, and
worked back into line as soon as possible. But will not be allowed to
stop the work flow.
4.) If possible, use standard fonts. Use the font "symbol"
for any special characters rather than keyboard shortcuts.
5.) If you are scanning images, use 8-bit for gray scale or 24-bit for
color.
6.) If you have a complicated poster, please "package" the
poster before bringing it to the graphics office. Collect all the items
required to make your poster (fonts, images, graphs etc.) and save a
copy on the disk or CD.
7.) Images should have a resolution of 150dpi, and drop into the poster
at 100%. Try not to use images taken from the web. Web images are usually
only 72dpi. Please call if you need help.
8.) We do not print full color backgrounds or images.
9.) Please remember that just because it looks fine on the screen does
not mean that it will print properly and the technology used to print
to your laser printer and the plotter while basically the same are still
different.
10.) Tech Support needs at least 48 hours notice to address any hardware
problems should they arise.
11.) If this is your first time printing a poster, please get it in
early and ask for assistance.
