It is the applicant's responsibility to take the test in time for scores to reach the department by the deadline. FSU's institutional code is 5219 (required when having official scores sent to us). Special care is used in interpreting the GRE scores of students who may have had an educational or cultural experience somewhat different from that of the traditional majority.

- Select the appropriate graduate program.
- Upload a personal statement, CV, a copy of your official GRE scores, a copy of all transcripts, and a completed GPA computation worksheet available at http://www.admissions.fsu.edu.
- Complete departmental application.
The application is submitted online. In addition, we ask you to upload a document with your personal statement
describing your areas of academic interest, relevant experiences, and career goals (preferably no more than 500 words) and a copy of your CV. In addition, you will upload a scanned copy of your official GRE scores and your transcripts (originals must be sent to the FSU Office of Admissions). If you are not able to scan your GRE scores or transcript, please mail a copy of them to Graduate Program, Department of Psychology, Florida State University, P.O. Box 3064301, Tallahassee, FL 32306-4301 or fax to 850-644-7739.
3b: Additional Instructions for the Program in Neuroscience:
When you submit the University application, you will also be asked to upload your research interests, statement of goals and purpose, resume, photocopies of your official transcripts, and self reported undergraduate GPA computation worksheet. Full instructions for what and how to upload can be found on the University application as well as at http://www.neuro.fsu.edu/HowToApply.htm.
Please send application materials PROMPTLY. There will be no extension of the deadline date and the faculty will not review incomplete files (the only rare exception may be in the event that space is available in the entering class after April 15, at which time completed applications that had not been received by the application deadline may be considered). It is therefore advisable to submit your materials as early as possible. It is the applicant's responsibility to have all required materials on file in our department by the deadline. If you have any doubts about the completeness of your file, it is advisable to send an e-mail message to grad-info@psy.fsu.edu.
If you are unable to communicate via e-mail, then you may call the
department at 850-644-2499. Please allow at least two weeks for
receipt and processing of your materials prior to contacting us.
If you discover close to the deadline that your application is incomplete,
you may need to send us the materials via overnight mail or, if
