Research Interest

My primary research focus is the study of youth and adult psychopathic traits. This is embedded in a broader interest in the development and classification of severe youth antisocial behavior.

Current Research

The investigation of cognitive (e.g., attentional biases) and neuroendocrine (e.g., cortisol production) markers for psychopathic traits and related behaviors; Gender differences in the etiology and expression of childhood conduct problems; Development and refinement of computer-based measures of emotional processing (e.g., emotional lexical decision and dot probe tasks); Risk modeling for institutional maladjustment and recidivism among severe juvenile offenders.
