Early Childhood Autism Program



FSU ECAP is hiring dedicated, energetic, and hardworking individuals to work with autistic children. Three job levels ensure that no matter what your background is in ABA or developmentally disabilities you will find a rewarding and educational employment opportunity at FSU ECAP.

 

Case Manager

The Case Manager position is typically filled by second year graduate students. However, exceptions are sometimes made for people with sufficient experience working with autistic children. Case Manager job duties include:

•  Providing one-on-one therapy and collecting data

•  Maintaining a positive relationship with parents, clients, and team members

•  Training and providing feedback for new therapists and parents/caregivers

•  Updating programs, treatment plans, and graphs

•  Conducting quarterly progress meetings for clients

•  Writing quarterly progress reports

•  Completing behavior plans and assessments as requested by the Clinical Coordinator

•  Attending biweekly and quarterly meetings

•  Maintaining the program book for each client

 

Behavior Assistants

The Behavior Assistant positions are typically filled by first year graduate students or therapists who have completed the training necessary for working as a Behavior Assistant. Behavior Assistant job duties include:

•  Providing one-on-one therapy

•  Collecting data

•  Attending biweekly and quarterly meetings

•  Maintaining a positive relationship with parent, client, and team members

•  Providing input and suggestions at meetings

•  Updating program book and materials as needed

 

Directed Individualized Study/Internship

The DIS/Intern position is typically filled by persons interested in learning more about ABA and autism treatment. The position is designed so that you can earn coursework credit.DIS/Interns may be offered employment as a behavior assistant at the conclusion of the DIS/Internship. DIS/INTERN job duties include:

•  Attending biweekly and quarterly meetings

•  Completing training conducted by the Clinical Coordinator and Case Managers

•  Observing sessions, taking notes, and collecting data

•  Working one-on-one with clients after completion of training

•  Maintaining a positive relationship with parents, clients, and team members

•  Providing input and suggestions at meetings
